The San Francisco 49ers (2-5) and St. Louis Rams (3-3) are moving in opposite directions.

San Francisco, the class of the NFC West not long ago, has struggled on both sides of the ball this season, and with talented running back Carlos Hyde out for Week 8, things aren’t expected to get better anytime soon. The Rams, meanwhile, entered the season knowing they would be stout on defense but not sure where their offensive production would come from.
