You guys heard of this Jason Witten guy? He’s pretty good at playing football, right? Well, he is if history has anything to say about it.
The Dallas Cowboys tight end caught his 1,000th career reception on Monday night, hauling in the middle-of-the-field pass midway through the second quarter against the Washington Redskins. Check out the moment here:
The catch helped keep the Cowboys’ drive alive and cemented Witten’s name in the Dallas record books. He’s been consistent throughout his career and this catch was nothing new for the standout. Sometimes history is just like every other play.
Dallas went on to get on the board with a field goal on that drive.
Witten became the 12th player in NFL history to record 1,000-plus catches, joining the likes of Larry Fitzgerald who also notched the historic moment this weekend.
