We’ve seen it a bunch this postseason. Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good.

Carson Palmer and Michael Floyd found that out late in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s divisional-round matchup between the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers. Down 13-10 but deep in Packers territory, Palmer, who had already thrown a pair of costly interceptions, attempted to hit Larry Fitzgerald.

It didn’t work. But it also did work.

Palmer’s throw was deflected, but the ball found Floyd like a magnet, giving the Cards (after the PAT) a 17-13 lead late in the fourth quarter. You can watch the play above.

Also on that scoring drive: A pair of first-down conversions by inches and a potential interception that bounced off the hands of Sam Shields. That’s a drive that would have been talked about for a long time, if it weren’t for such a wild ending to the game.
