Copa America Centenario will go the same it did one year ago, with Chile and Argentina meeting for the final prize.
Defending champions Chile backed into Copa America, struggling to excel under new manager Juan Antonio Pizzi. After playing Argentina tough in a 2-1 opening loss, Chile went unbeaten in the tournament, highlighted by a 7-0 win over Mexico.
The tournament favorites, Argentina cruised to a perfect record at Copa America Centenario. They have a goal differential of 18-2, and hardly broke a sweat against USA in the semifinals. Lionel Messi has only started two games, and is fresh and ready to bring La Albiceleste their first international trophy in 23 years.
The Copa America final is set to kick off Sunday, June 26th at 8 p.m. from MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
Hosted by Chile in 2015, the previous Copa America final went scoreless for 120 minutes. The match went to penalties, and Alexis Sanchez scored the winning penalty to win the tournament. This will be the 84th all-time meeting between these teams.
