The winner of the 2016 PGA Championship at Baltusrol will take home a cool $1.8 million, the same as what Jason Day received for his win at Whistling Straits last year.
That’s the same as what Danny Willett and Dustin Johnson for their victories at the Masters and US Open, respectively, while Henrik Stenson won about $1.53 million for his triumph at the Open Championship a couple weeks ago.
The runner-up at Baltrusol will surely be disappointed, but a paycheck of over $1 million should help quell those sorrows a bit. All-in-all, 10 players will receive more than a quarter-million of the $10 million purse this weekend.
