Big East champions Villanova will return to the NCAA tournament, and will be a top seed in the XX region. The Wildcats are defending NCAA Champions, and looked strong throughout the season en route to a 31-3 regular season record. Head coach Jay Wright has his team motivated to repeat, and a 14-point win in the Big East champion is a sign that they are focused for a title defense.
Unfortunately, the Wildcats will have to wait to find out their first-round opponent. Villanova will play either Mount Saint Mary’s or New Orleans, who will play before the tournament officially starts on Thursday.
