Boston Celtics Official Injury Report Against Dallas Mavericks

On Friday evening, the Boston Celtics are going to play the Dallas Mavericks at TD Garden.

There is a lot of hope that Jayson Tatum will be able to make his season debut after getting injured in the second round of the 2025 NBA playoffs.

The future Hall of Famer has yet to appear in a game since May 12.

UPDATE: Baylor Scheierman is available (and Jordan Walsh has been ruled out).

For the game, the Celtics have announced their official injury report.

Tatum will be questionable, while Baylor Scheierman is available.

The Boston Celtics wrote: “Injury Report for tomorrow vs. DAL: Jayson Tatum – Right Achilles Repair – QUESTIONABLE”

Tatum has spent all nine seasons of his pro career with the Celtics.

He has averages of 23.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 45.9% from the field and 37.0% from three-point range over 585 games.

The former Duke star reached the NBA Finals twice in his first seven seasons.

ESPN’s Shams Charania wrote: “Just in on @SportsCenter — Jayson Tatum has been fully cleared to make his Boston Celtics season debut:”

Baylor Scheierman’s NBA Career

Scheierman is in the middle of his second season (all with Boston).

He is currently averaging 4.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 45.2% from the field and 37.3% from three-point range in 57 games.

The Boston Celtics wrote (via X) on February 2: “Joe Mazzulla says that Baylor Scheierman’s greatest contributions of late have been his improved rebounding, his defensive versatility, and his “ability to read the game in real time” while at times serving as our third ball handler.”

The Celtics have been one of the best teams in the league (even without Tatum).

They are the second seed in the Eastern Conference with a 41-21 record in 62 games.

Following the Mavs, the Celtics will play their next game on Sunday when they visit James Harden and the Cleveland Cavaliers in Ohio.
