The New York Mets have been very active with roster transactions in recent days.

On Sunday, November 1, the Mets announced that they had parted ways with four players via an outright.

Well, on Monday, November 2, one of those players (Cameron Weston) was claimed by the Miami Marlins off waivers.

Weston was a waiver claim by the New York Mets back in September, but never actually logged any time with the Mets MLB club. He spent all of September with AAA Syracuse.

Cameron Weston now officially belongs to the Miami Marlins organization after being claimed off waivers.

The 26-year-old RHP out of Pittsburgh, PA, made his MLB debut in 2026 with the Baltimore Orioles.

He logged just one inning with Baltimore and did not allow a run while striking out one batter.

With AAA Syracuse in 2026, Weston boasted an ERA of 1.42 over 6.1 innings and four appearances.

MLBTR.com’s McDonald wrote (about Ohl):

“Now 27 years old, Ohl has spent most of his pro career with the Twins organization. They drafted him in the 14th round in 2021 and helped him develop into a decent prospect. When they selected Ohl’s contract in July 2025, he owned a microscopic 3.6% walk rate in the minors. He continued limiting walks during a 14-appearance, 30-inning major league debut that year, as he issued free passes at a 5.3% clip. While that accompanied an unspectacular strikeout rate (20.3%) and a high ERA (5.10), Ohl posted more encouraging underlying numbers. ERA estimators such as SIERA (3.87), xFIP (3.99), FIP (4.20) and xERA (4.78) all suggested he deserved a better fate.”
