Griffin will be batting second for only the second time in his MLB career.
The 20-year-old has mostly been at the bottom of the order (as seventh or eighth).

In five Triple-A games this season, Griffin batted .438 with seven hits, one RBI, four runs and three stolen bases.

The Pirates come into Saturday’s game as the fourth-place team in the National League Central with a 24-21 record in 45 games.
That said, they are just 2.5 games back of the Milwaukee Brewers for second (and 5.0 games behind the Chicago Cubs for first).
Following two more games with the Phillies, the Pirates will head to St. Louis for a series with the Cardinals on Tuesday.
