Team USA is headed to the World Baseball Classic championship game and chances are Paul Skenes‘ girlfriend Livvy Dunne will be cheering on the United States with a trophy on the line. Dunne gave fans a glimpse of the stress level while watching her significant other pitch in an elimination game with a spot in the WBC championship on the line.
“Omg,” Dunne noted in a March 15, 2026, Instagram Story post at one point during the United States’ semifinal game against the Dominican Republic.
Dunne later celebrated Team USA’s win as Skenes advanced to the final. There was plenty of controversy amid a called strike three to end the game with the replay showing the pitch appeared a bit low. All Dunne cared about is the United States winning a hard-fought contest to advance.
“Bigggg USA dub!” Dunne posted along with a selfie of herself decked out in a red jacket.

Like Skenes, Dunne was also a standout athlete at LSU before her gymnastics career came to a close. Dunne is transitioning to a new acting career. The star announced that she will be a regular on the show “Baywatch.”
“I’m not a lifeguard, but i play one on tv 🛟 @baywatchtv #baywatch,” Dunne explained in the March 13, Instagram message.

During a June 2025 interview with People’s Skyler Caruso and Jordan Greene, Dunne opened up about the couple’s relationship. Dunne pointed to giving each other freedom as a playing a major factor in their relationship. It sounds like Dunne has had some bad experiences in prior relationships.
“We don’t restrict each other from doing things,” Dunne explained at the time. “I’ve been in relationships in the past like that — where it’s almost like you have a leash on you, you can’t do anything.”
“But he has a job to do and I have a job to do — I know that’s so important for two young kids in a relationship to realize. So yeah, we just have a good time and it’s a two-way road.”

As for the World Baseball Classic, the controversial call elicited several different reactions within the Dominican Republic squad. Juan Soto believes the team is still the best in the world.
“We showed the world who’s the best team in baseball,” Soto told ESPN’s Jeff Passan. “That’s all I got to say.”
Dominican Republic manager Albert Pujols took a different approach. The MLB legend noted that “it wasn’t meant to be” following the team’s loss to the United States.
“I don’t want to focus on the last pitch. … I’m not going to criticize any of that,” Pujols said of the final call, per MLB.com. “It wasn’t meant to be.”
