Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs is officially in the offseason, and now, Kelce is making a decision about whether he will retire or come back for the team’s 2026-27 season. So, Kelce is making a retirement decision, but he already made a decision ahead of his big one, and that’s about whether or not to participate in this year’s Pro Bowl.
On December 23, the NFL announced that Kelce was one of the Kansas City Chiefs selected to be in the 2026 Pro Bowl. He made the cut alongside starters Creed Humphrey and Chris Jones, as well as Trey Smith.
“The Kansas City Chiefs are in the midst of a disappointing season in 2025, but despite the circumstances,” Matt McMullen of the Chief’s website said, “four members of the team were recognized for their outstanding individual performances with Pro Bowl nods on Sunday.”
He added, “The Chiefs won’t achieve their goals in 2025, but all seven of these players are more than deserving of individual recognition as Kansas City wraps up the season.”

Since the Pro Bowl is now a flag football event, it’s a prime opportunity for the league to highlight the debut of flag football for the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.
“Its inclusion, led by efforts of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) and supported by the NFL, showcases an aspirational new pathway to elite play and the incredible development of the sport globally,” the NFL said in an official statement about flag football being part of the upcoming games.
