It’s a fact – everyone loves a free dosage of entertainment.
Especially gamers who’re hungry for something brand new on consoles and mobile devices. Google Play’s storefront features an amazing collection of free games, which is why we’re here to highlight the five best and newest titles for July 2015. Anime fans will love our DBZ pick, Angry Birds makes its triumphant return, there’s a stair climbing simulator here (trust us, it’s awesome) and there’s so much more to love on this list.
Here’s the top five best new free Android games of July 2015.
1. Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle
2015 seems to be one of the better years in terms of celebrating the legacy of Goku and friends. The Dragon Ball series is getting blessed with a whole new series, a new film debuting in U.S. theaters and new games to enjoy. One of those new games happens to be this mobile RPG-like title called Dragon Ball Z Dokkan Battle. This beautifully animated release gives you access to nearly the entire roster of Z-Warriors and their sworn enemies as you face other rivals and attempt to save the world by Trunks’ side. The intense battle animations and addictive gameplay is great for fans and even non-fans of the Dragon Ball universe.
2. Angry Birds 2
It’s pretty funny to imagine that mobile game developer Rovio hasn’t released an actual numbered sequel in the Angry Birds series…until now. This official 2nd game in the mainline series features that same hard to put down bird flinging gameplay from before, but with a few changes. New birds join the usual crew, stages feature more than just one tower of pigs to smash, spells are now present and boss pigs are ready for war. It may not look like the super sequel you’d expect it to be, but its familiar trappings and cute ambiance still make it one of the best of July 2015.
3. Infinite Stairs
There’s a game called Infinite Stairs? Yep! And it’s supremely engaging for such a simple concept. There’s such a cool gathering of playable characters to climb those infinite blocks with (your normal everyday businessman, a street oriented brother, a vampire etc.). The simple controls are easy to grasp, but its pretty tough to grasp when it’s the right time to climb and turn. The action here speeds up, so you’d better have the smarts and wits to keep up. Pay close attention to your stair climbing efforts so you don’t end up falling from the heavens you’ve climbed so hard to get to.
4. Sonic Runners
Sega is doing a great job of producing some of the better mobile games out on the market right now. Their latest hit features everyone’s favorite blue sprinter, Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic Runners combines the successful genre of infinite runners with the world of Sonic and his furry friends. The bright stages and peppy tunes will introduce you to an addictive bit of new Sonic gameplay. There’s a huge array of noteworthy Sonic allies to choose from, whose abilities give you something fresh to work with on each stage. Sonic Runners is one of the deeper and most fun infinite runners available right now.
5. War of Glory – 1943
For our final free pick, we decided to choose of the newest strategy/base-building games to hit the Google Play store.
