The Forza Motorsport series constantly delivers quality racing sims on an annual basis.
While the more serious main entries in the franchise are exceptional, there’s a certain posse out there that’s more inclined to play their open-world spinoff games. That group of fans will be happy to hop into the September 27th release of the larger, brighter and infinitely more fun Forza Horizon 3. The Horizon Festival is set to transport you to the vast landscape of Australia and this time, you’ll be playing the part of event organizer. Since you’re the boss, you’ll get the chance to create the best racing jubilee the world has ever seen and competed in.
There’s so much more to learn about this upcoming Xbox One/PC racer. Here’s everything you need to know about Forza Horizon 3.
1. This Time, The Horizon Festival Takes Place in Australia
Australia will be your main hub of racing this time around in Forza Motorsport 3. The Land Down Under is huge; the size of this sequel’s map is two times larger than the one featured in Forza Horizon 2. You’ll be racing across the dusty Outback, lush rain forests, beautiful beaches and so many more locations. The modes that are a part of Forza Horizon 3’s content suite includes multiplayer races, 1000-player Car Clubs, Car Meets, Playground games (which features the all-new Flag Rush mode), Rivals events, Online Free Roam and the new Online Adventure mode.
2. Over 350 Cars Can Be Collected, Modded, Painted and Driven
This is a Forza game, so you all know there’s a wide variety of automobiles to obtain. Forza Horizon 3 ups the ante by featuring over 350 vehicles. That huge collection of cars even includes the game’s cover stars: the Lamborghini Centenario and 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor. New vehicle customizations arrive in the form of visual changes, which includes more than 30 new rim styles and off-road and rally parts. The Auction House (which allows you to buy/sell cars and rate other players’ custom vehicle jobs) makes its return, too. Plus the Storefront lets everyone showcase their latest custom creations across the Forza network.
3. The Newest Feature, Horizon Blueprint, Lets You Customize Pre-Created Events
No one will be telling you and the other racers where to go and how to compete this time since you’ll be the boss running this Horizon Festival. As the main promotor and planner behind this event, it’s up to you to organize it all by customizing previously crafted challenges. This means you’ll be able to set up the time of day, weather conditions, eligible vehicles, race route etc.
This feature, which comes in the form of the new Horizon Blueprint mode, also lets you hop into Bucket List events and even create your own. Earning fans is the main objective behind this new festival, which helps you attract more racers (even racers from your friends list through their Drivatars with the Drivatar Lineup feature).
4. Forza Horizon 3 Can Be Obtained in Three Ways: The Regular, Deluxe or Ultimate Edition
Forza Horizon 3 comes in three different varieties: Regular, Deluxe and Ultimate. Each edition comes with some extra DLC rewards that provides players with more cars. The retail Standard Edition comes with a specified car that depends on the retailer you purchase it from (the full retailer list can be read in the next fact).
The digital version will give you the Rockstar Energy Car Pack from Forza Horizon 2 and the Meguiar’s Car Pack from Forza Motorsport 6. The digital Deluxe Edition comes with all those extra cars, plus the Forza Horizon 3 Motorsport All-Stars Car Pack and VIP Membership Pass. The final retail and digital versions of the Ultimate Edition features everything seen in the aforementioned packs, plus the Car Pass and early access to the game (starting on September 23).
5. All Types of Pre-Order Cars are Being Offered by Different Retailers; Special Deals Come With the VIP Membership and Car Pass
