‘Hacker’ Shows ‘The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time’ Allegedly Running on Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch has been out for less than two weeks but someone has managed to get what appears to be The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time up and running on the console, at least that’s what he wants it to look like.

He never shows himself hitting any buttons on the controller so it raises some questions of whether this is a YouTube video or the actual game running. In a second video posted on his Twitter account, he holds the Switch with one hand and points to it with the other, all while the game is still playing so it likely points to a video being played instead of the game itself. Either situation would be impressive since the Switch launched without an internet browser.

Ways to access YouTube on the Switch have surfaced like this one. Through use of proxy sites, people have managed to get YouTube running on their device. Keep in mind that hacking your console will likely void your warranty so make sure you know what you’re doing before you attempt to do it.

Here’s the video he uploaded onto YouTube if you want to check out his “hack” and proof it’s working. He claims to have gotten PS2 games to work on the Switch as well.
