Publisher Devolver Digital announced a new action RPG by developer onebitbeyond called The Swords of Ditto, coming to PS4 and PC in early 2018.
The game will make its full gameplay debut on Twitch on Monday, June 12 at 5:00 p.m. PT/8:00 p.m. ET. E3 media and attendees can play the game at Devolver Digital’s annual Indie Picnic from June 13 to 15.
Here’s everything you need to know.
1. It’s got Rougelike Elements

(Devolver Digital)
As one of the heroes of the Island of Ditto, you quest to defeat the evil Mormo in a top down action RPG filled with enemies and puzzles reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda. But the game deviates from its Zelda inspirations in its rougelike elements.
According to a press release from Devolver Digital, successes and failures are recorded and have an effect on subsequent legends. Banishing Mormo in one adventure will lead to a more peaceful land while failing to do so will let darkness envelop the land. New heroes can also find the monuments and loot from the adventurers that came before them to take for their own adventures.
2. Solo and Cooperative Adventuring Available

(Devolver Digital)
You can summon another hero to aid you in local co-op, allowing you to get an extra hand in fighting monsters and revive each other with a hug.
3. Tons of Loot to Collect

(Devolver Digital)
You’ll have many unique weapons to find and use for your adventures on the Island of Ditto, including the traditional sword and bow, a vinyl record Frisbee, a magic golf club, and a colossal foot from the heavens. You can also collect and equip stickers to boost heroes and add perks to gear.
4. Main and Side Quests On Offer

(Devolver Digital)
For the main quest, you can battle through dungeons in any order and even confront Mormo right from the beginning of the game. There’s also side missions to complete.
5. It’s Being Developed by Onebitbeyond

(Devolver Digital)
