‘Pokemon Go’ Zapdos: Max CP & Stats

Niantic

Wondering what the stats and max CP are for Legendary Zapdos? He won’t be around much longer, so it’s best to really focus on catching him now. Here’s the information that will be helpful to you.

Here are the max CP stats for a Zapdos that you might catch after a Legendary Raid battle, according to stats gathered by Redditor DontheFirst and GamePress:

  • Max CP at Level 20: 1902
  • Max CP at Level 30: 2854
  • Max CP at Level 39: 3282
    Max CP: 3330, with Attack 253, Defense 188, Stamina 180, DEF x STA 33840

According to trainers, Zapdos is your best investment out of all the Legendary Pokemon we’ve seen so far.

Compared to other electric types like Jolteon, Ampharos, and Magneton, Zapdos has much higher stats in CP, attack, defense, and stamina. So he might be a good choice to power up.

However, Redditor Ambivalences pointed out that Zapdos is inferior to Raikou, so you might want to save some of those rare candies in case Raikou is released.

Zapdos comes with the notable movesets of:

  • Charge Beam + Zap Cannon
  • Charge Beam + Thunderbolt
  • Thunder Shock + Zap Cannon
  • Thunder Shock + Thunderbolt

Meanwhile, Raikou’s quick move will be Thundershock, compared to Zapdos’ Charge Beam. And Raikou’s quick move speed is .6 sec compared to Zapdos’ 1.1 seconds. Raikou’s charge move is Wild Charge compared to Zapdos’ Charge Cannon. And Raikou’s charge move speed is 2.6 seconds compared to Zapdos’ 3.7 seconds.

And although Zapdos has a better ATK of 253 compared to Raikou’s 241, Raikou beats Zapdos with a DEF of 210 compared to 188, and a Moveset DPS of 109.68% compared to Zapdos’ 100%.

Despite the “looming in the future” Raikou being an overall better investment, players are still really excited about Zapdos and sharing their catches on Twitter.
