Willi Castro: Breaking News

Castro went 2-for-4 with a double, a walk, an RBI and two runs scored Wednesday against the Reds. Castro returned to the lineup for the first time in Colorado's last four games after working through a knee injury. He did most of his damage early, walking in the first inning before coming in to score while also driving in a run with a double in the third inning. Castro now has multiple hits in each of his last three starts.

Castro (knee) will start at second base and bat fifth in Wednesday's game against the Reds. Castro will move back into the starting nine for the first time since last Thursday, after a sore right knee had limited him to just one brief cameo off the bench over the Rockies' previous four games. When healthy this season, the 29-year-old has held down a near-everyday role while shuffling between all four infield spots and has posted a .664 OPS across 76 plate appearances.

Castro (knee) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's game in Cincinnati. Castro has not played since exiting last Thursday's game against the Padres due to right knee soreness. It's unclear whether he will be available off the bench. Edouard Julien is again at second base for the Rockies on Tuesday.
