Bellator today announced the signing of undefeated featherweight Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (12-0 MMA). The Brazilian will join the promotion during its upcoming second season.
Freire last competed on Dec. 5, stopping Johnny Iwasaki in the second round of a Platinum Fight Brazil card. Six of Freire’s victories have come by way of first-round stoppage.
Freire will compete in Bellator’s featherweight tournament, which begins April 8 on Fox Sports Net.
