Two former UFC stars are in the news, and not for good reasons.
Former UFC lightweight Hermes Franca was arrested in Oregon on charges of sexual abuse. Franca, 36, was charged in Clackamas County with seven counts of sexual abuse in the first degree and two counts of unlawful sexual penetration.
Franca’s bail has been set at $250,000 and a trial is scheduled for July 12 in Oregon City. He was scheduled to face Drew Fickett for the MFC lightweight championship on June 10.
Former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez was arrested in Arizona over the weekend for allegedly assaulting a cab driver and resisting arrest.
Rodriguez is accused of throwing a cab driver to the ground over a cab fare dispute.
