UFC 134 Fight Card: Main Event Official

The UFC’s return to Brazil is official, and it has a championship match in the main event slot.

UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva will face Yushin Okami – the last man to beat him (albeit by disqualification) – in the main event of the first UFC event in Brazil in over 12 years.

Formerly dubbed “UFC Rio,” the newly-christened event will take place Aug. 27 at the HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro.

Silva hasn’t lost a fight since losing to Okami by disqualification due to an illegal upkick at a Rumble on the Rock show. Okami, meanwhile, has won six of his last seven bouts, with the only loss coming at the hands of training partner Chael Sonnen.

A total of six bouts have been announced for the card.
