UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones says he knows who he is fighting in his first title defense.
According to MMAjunkie.com, Jones explained that he will be meeting Quinton “Rampage” Jackson at an event in the near future.
Jackson last fought at UFC 130 last weekend, earning a dominant unanimous decision victory over Matt Hamill. Unfortunately for the ex-champion, an injured hand appeared to be enough to put a potential title shot out of the picture.
Former champion Rashad Evans was originally slotted to fight the champ, and their relationship became worse and worse by the minute. However, an injury to Jones forced the cancellation of the UFC 133 main event. Now Evans fights Phil Davis, looking to secure the title shot he once had once again.
