UFC 134 complete with 12 bouts
A featherweight bout between Yuri Alcantara and Felipe Arantes has completed the 12-fight UFC card set for Rio De Janeiro.
UFC officials announced the bout earlier today.
Alcantara competed in Brazil for 22 of his first 23 fights, earning victories in all but three of them. He signed on with the WEC during a 10-fight winning streak and extended it to 11 with a victory over Ricardo Lamas last December. He has yet to fight in 2011.
His upcoming opponent, also a UFC rookie, also has only experienced the taste of defeat three times throughout his career. His last fight was a no contest this past April, which thus far is his only bout in 2011. He boasts a professional record of 13-3 with two career no contests.
UFC 134 is set for Rio De Janeiro, Brazil on August 27 and features a main event between middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Yushin Okami. The event will include 12 total fights and all 12 of those have been made official.
