UFC utilizes social networking site to air prelim fights
For the thirteenth event in a row, the UFC will stream all non-televised UFC 136 preliminary bouts on the social networking giant Facebook.
HeavyMMA.com has confirmed the news with sources close to the organization after an initial report by MMAJunkie.com.
The four bouts included on the Facebook stream are: Joey Beltran vs. Stipe Miocic, Darren Elkins vs. Tiequan Zhang, Eric Schafer vs. Aaron Simpson and Steve Cantwell vs. Mike Massenzio.
Fans who want to view the live stream simply need to visit the UFC’s official Facebook profile and press “Like.” Doing so will give you access to the live stream on Saturday.
The first bout is scheduled to begin at 5:50 p.m. ET/4:50 p.m. CT. The pay per view event is headlined by a lightweight title bout between Frankie Edgar and Gray Maynard.
