Four fighters earn “UFC on Versus 6” bonuses
Four fighters who went above and beyond at “UFC on Versus 6” Saturday night each earned a cool $65,000 for their efforts.
At the post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White announced that Anthony Johnson, Stefan Struve, Mac Danzig, and Matt Wiman were the four to walk away with extra cash after their performances in Washington, D.C.
Danzig and Wiman met in a rematch after a controversial first fight and gave the fans the definitive Fight of the Night. Wiman earned the unanimous decision victory, but both put on tremendous performances worthy of the bonus.
Meanwhile, Struve and Johnson both earned stoppage victories in their main card bouts.
Johnson annihilated Charlie Brenneman with a head kick in their welterweight contest to earn Knockout of the Night. Struve did his part, earning Submission of the Night honors for his triangle choke finish of Pat Barry in the co-main event. Both finishes came in dramatic fashion and had the crowd aching for more.
