Anderson (hamstring) was in Cleveland for a tryout with the Browns on Thursday, Howard Balzer of USA Today reports. Anderson was let go by the Colts on Aug. 13 after reaching an injury settlement with the team, but he appears to have moved past his hamstring injury. The linebacker appeared in four contests over the last two seasons with Indianapolis, failing to record any stats while logging 48 snaps on special teams.
The Colts waived Anderson (hamstring) from the injured reserve list with an injury settlement Wednesday, per the NFL's transaction log. Anderson injured his hamstring during the Colts' preseason loss to the Ravens this past Thursday and was waived one day later. He was set to miss the entire 2025 season after reverting to the Colts' IR, but the injury settlement allows the 25-year-old linebacker to sign with another team once he's fully recovered from his injury. He played 40 snaps on special teams across three regular-season games for the Colts in 2024 but did not appear on the box score otherwise.
Anderson (hamstring) reverted to injured reserve Sunday, per the NFL's transaction log. Anderson was waived with an injury designation Friday and will now spend the 2025 season on injured reserve unless the Colts cut him with an injury settlement at a later time. Anderson played 10 snaps on special teams in Thursday's preseason opener against Baltimore. He appeared in four regular-season games with Indy across the 2023-24 campaigns.
