After several losses cost them a chance to automatically qualify for the Euro 2016 finals, the Netherlands were in a position to win consecutive matches to have any hope of reaching the playoffs.
A 2-1 win against Kazakhstan on Saturday kept hopes alive, but another must-win game is on the cards at home against the Czech Republic, who have already qualified from the group.
Here is the Group A table after nine matches. The top two teams automatically qualify for the finals, while the third-placed team enters the playoffs.
