Familiar faces will be absent for Barcelona today, as they head to Germany to wrap up group play against Bayer Leverkusen.

Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique did not travel with the team, and Dani Alves will miss the game with a suspension (yellow cards). Also absent will likely be Neymar, who tweaked a muscle in training earlier this week.

While Luis Enrique can afford to rest his players, Leverkusen manager Roger Schmidt doesn’t have the same luxury. The German side have just five points from five matches, and need a win and a poor showing from Roma to have a chance at the Round of 16. Roma is hosting BATE Borisov and holds the tiebreaker over Bayer, stacking the odds even further for today’s action.

If Leverkusen are going to have any magic today, it’s going to start with Javier Hernández. Chicharito has 11 goals in his last ten matches in all competitions, although Leverkusen have lost three of their last five Bundesliga fixtures.
