Venezuela are still seeking their first win tonight when they host Peru. The squad are currently in last place in CONMEBOL qualifying, after losing the first four matches of the 18-game stretch. Peru are only three points better, scraping by a 1-0 victory over Paraguay. Even if World Cup qualifying doesn’t go well, both teams will take their chances at Copa America Centenario this summer. Peru will feature in the first match after USMNT open the tournament, when they take on Haiti June 4 at CenturyLink Field.
These teams met during group play at Copa America 2015, when a Claudio Pizzaro goal gave Peru a 1-0 win.
