Boxing fans got one of the last looks at Keith Thurman and Danny Garcia, at an open workout on Wednesday at Gleason’s Gym, ahead of their welterweight world title unification on Saturday at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The fight will be broadcast live by CBS starting at 9 p.m ET/ 6 p.m. PT.
Thurman (27-0, 22 KOs) enter the bout a favorite in Las Vegas and on online sportsbooks. but Garcia (33-0, 19 KOs), who carries tremendous fight-changing power, will be a true chin check for Thurman, and many observers believe the upcoming bout is a true pick'em.
“It feels great to be in this big fight," Thurman (above) said to the media during the workout. "This is what we’ve been dreaming of...I expect the best of Danny Garcia. This is the biggest fight of either of our careers."
