On Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, Gennady “GGG” Golovkin went a full 12 rounds for the first time in his career, as challenger Daniel Jacobs pushed him to the brink before a unanimous decision in favor of Triple-G.

Many pundits were split on how the final scorecard should have looked, but it the end it was an entertaining fight between two of the world’s best boxers.


And it might not have even been the best fight of the night.

That title may belong to Roman Gonzalez and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, who fought to an instant classic with the latter handing Chocolatito his first career loss via a controversial majority decision.
