Allison Stokke is the wife of wildly popular PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler, who also has a decorated athletic career of her own. The two married in 2019 and have two daughters.

Here’s what you need to know about Rickie Fowler’s wife, Allison Stokke.

1. Like Fowler, she’s a California native who excelled early

Stokke was born on March 22, 1989, in Newport Beach, Calif. She grew up doing both track and field and gymnastics, excelling in both. She eventually became one of the nation’s top high school pole vaulters. Stokke ranked second in all of California and the nation with a career-best 13-7 jump in her senior year of high school where she was a three-time league champion, who was also an All-Orange County selection. She also was an All-American as a junior. She managed to do all of this while also breaking her leg in high school.

2. She was a Division I athlete at Cal

She eventually parlayed all of that high school success into a scholarship from the University of California. She broke multiple school records as a freshman at Cal and was even better in her sophomore year, finishing sixth at the NCAA West regional meet before a top-20 finish at the NCAA Championships.

3. She went viral before viral was really a thing

In 2008, a photo of Stokke went viral on a blog. As ESPN noted, the photo included a caption reading “Meet pole vaulter Allison Stokke … Hubba hubba and other grunting sounds.” The photo and blog took off, gaining national attention from seemingly countless outlets.

“I feel like me and that picture are two different people,” Stoke told ESPN.com eight years later. “I feel it has taken on a life of its own. It’s like that picture is my alter-ego and sometimes I feel like I use it for a positive force, and sometimes I just choose to leave it out there and not engage with it.”

4. She and Fowler announced their relationship in 2017

It’s unclear exactly how and when Fowler and Stokke met and started dating, but they went public with their relationship in 2017 (thanks in part to Jason Day). A year later, they announced their engagement, and by the fall of 2019, they were married, after a beachside wedding in Mexico.

Despite their popularity (the two have a combined 3 million Instagram followers), the wedding was a relatively small affair. Originally planned for Bakers Bay in Bahamas, hurricane season forced them to move the ceremony to Mexico where they reportedly wed in front fewer than 50 people.

5. The Fowlers have two children

The couple have two daughters. They welcomed their first child, Maya, in 2021, and the younger Nellie was born in 2024. Allison caddied for Fowler at the Masters par 3 competition in 2024, and Maya joined them at Augusta National Golf Club in her own white caddie jumpsuit.

Fowler revealed during the 2025 John Deere Classic that the family travels together during the golf season — for now.

“I’m excited that we still get to travel together week in and week out up until school really starts,” he told reporters. “At that point it’ll be here and there and primarily just summers.”
