Rory McIlroy joined rare company as one of only four golfers to win back-to-back Masters. McIlroy joins Nick Faldo, Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only golfers to repeat as Masters champions in consecutive years.

Minutes after McIlroy made history, Nike revealed a new commercial congratulating the Masters champion. After waiting his entire career to win a green jacket, McIlroy is now on quite a winning streak at Augusta National.

“No alterations needed,” Nike noted while revealing the new commercial in an April 12, 2026, message on X. “@McIlroyRory proves he is tailored for the moment, securing back-to-back jackets at Augusta.”

McIlroy has become the face of Nike golf, especially with Tiger Woods launching his own brand. This is the first look at the Nike commercial that has sports fans buzzing.

Here’s what you need to know about Nike’s new viral ad featuring McIlroy.

Nike Immediately Revealed a New Commercial Featuring Rory McIlroy After Back-to-Back Masters Wins

The moving video showed clips of McIlroy winning back-to-back green jackets. The theme of the new Nike video is McIlroy not being satisfied with just one Masters win.

“When people talk about this place, they’ll tell you these 18 holes are hallowed grounds, where the greatest golfers in the world come to chase one thing, that historic jacket,” the narrator notes in the video.

“But they’re wrong. The greatest golfers in the world don’t want a jacket. They want another one.”

Rory McIlroy Signed a 10-Year, $250 Million Contract With Nike: Report

Making golf history is a lucrative business for McIlroy. According to Golfweek, McIlroy earned $4.5 million for winning the Masters.

Following the Masters, McIlroy could earn even more money through endorsements and brand deals. BBC reported in 2013 that McIlroy signed a lucrative 10-year, $250 million deal with Nike.

McIlroy is estimated to have a net worth of $250 million, per Celebrity Net Worth.

Rory McIlroy Played Like ‘I’ve Already Got a Green Jacket’

Heading into the final round, McIlroy admitted that he anticipated playing a bit more free given he already had a green jacket. This seemed to play out as McIlroy’s second Masters victory did not feel very much in doubt during the final hole, even after the star’s wayward tee shot.

“I’d like to think that I’ll play a little bit freer and I’ll play like I’ve already got a green jacket, which I do,” McIlroy told reporters on April 11. “Sometimes I maybe just have to remind myself of that, but I think as well that the stakes in terms of, like, the pairing will be just a little bit easier. You know, the atmosphere out there will be a little bit easier.

“Yeah, I’m not worried about that at all. I wish I was a few shots better off, but I’m comfortable. I played with Cam (Young) the first two days. Playing with him again tomorrow. I think it’s a comfortable group for both of us.”

McIlroy has already made rare golf history with back-to-back wins at Augusta. Now, the quest begins for McIlroy to do something no golfer has ever achieved: win three consecutive Masters.
