The Valspar Championship returns this week with another strong field set to compete at the Copperhead Course at Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, Florida. The tournament has become one of the more popular stops on the PGA Tour schedule thanks to its challenging layout and the famous closing stretch known as the “Snake Pit.”
Several major champions, top-ranked players, and rising stars are scheduled to tee it up as the PGA Tour continues its Florida swing following The Players Championship. The field includes winners of major championships, FedEx Cup champions, past Valspar winners, and emerging talent from tours around the world.
Players qualified through a variety of categories including past major winners, recent PGA Tour champions, FedEx Cup standings, sponsor exemptions, and Korn Ferry Tour graduates. It creates a deep and competitive field heading into one of the toughest courses on the schedule.

Late Field Changes Follow Big Paydays at The Players Championship
The field for the Valspar Championship saw several notable changes late Sunday and into Monday morning, including withdrawals from two players who earned significant paydays at the recently completed The Players Championship.
Among those pulling out were Keith Mitchell and Robert MacIntyre. Mitchell finished tied for 46th at TPC Sawgrass, while MacIntyre delivered one of the biggest performances of the week with a solo fourth-place finish, earning $1,225,000.
Another withdrawal came Monday morning when Sudarshan Yellamaraju also opted out of the tournament. Yellamaraju was one of the surprise stories at The Players Championship after finishing tied for fifth, which earned him $925,000. That payday represented roughly 72 percent of his career PGA Tour earnings, bringing his total career prize money to approximately $1,283,940.
