Los Angeles Dodgers Receive Exciting Update For 2026

The Dodgers are still among the top teams in baseball at drafting and developing quality talent, and the latest rankings prove why.

The Los Angeles Dodgers come into the 2026 season with a lot of optimism. After all, they have won back-to-back World Series titles, and they are the first team to repeat as champions since the New York Yankees did it from 1998-2000.

They are able to spend a lot of money but also continue to develop solid players and keep their engine running. In fact, Jim Callis, Jonathan Mayo and Sam Dykstra of MLB.com recently released their rankings of each team’s farm system. The Dodgers had fallen a spot, but still are at No. 2 on the list behind only the Milwaukee Brewers.

“The Dodgers have won three of the last six World Series and made 13 consecutive playoff appearances, including 12 National League West titles. They also excel at acquiring and developing prospects, with industry executives ranking them as doing the best job of developing both hitters and pitchers and rating them second-best at gathering talent via the international market and trades. No system features better outfielders, and while Los Angeles has a fairly hitter-heavy Top 30, River Ryan and Jackson Ferris could contribute to the big league pitching staff this year.”

Los Angeles Dodgers Still Rank High On Prospects List

The Dodgers have five prospects in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100. They have outfielder Josue De Paula at No. 15, outfielder Zyhir Hope at No. 27, Eduardo Quintero at No. 30, Mike Sirota at No. 60 and shortstop Emil Morales at No. 92.

The team is best known for being able to spend money on premier free agents such as Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Blake Snell, Edwin Diaz, Kyle Tucker, Mookie Betts and Teoscar Hernandez, but they still are able to churn out solid players from their farm system. Because they have both working in their favor, it allows them to remain one of the best teams in Major League Baseball while also not sacrificing the future.

All five of their prospects that are in the Top 100 have a chance to be great players in the future, and that should allow the Dodgers to keep pace with the rest of the league in terms of developing and acquiring talent.

Though they fell one spot in the rankings, that is less of a reflection on them and more so on the fact that several teams’ farm systems have gotten stronger over the past several months. Plus, they are still right near the top, so it isn’t as if they have taken a massive dip in the rankings or declined in any way.

Regardless, they are still among the top teams in the league at all levels, and they still are a dynasty after another World Series title.

The Future Is Bright For The Dodgers

Things are still looking up for the Dodgers. The prospects they have on their list are some of the best in all of baseball. There is a lot for fans to look forward to as the Dodgers prepare to defend their title. It will be interesting to see if perhaps any of their prospects make it to the Major Leagues at some point this year.
