UPDATE: The Mets have announced the diagnosis on Soto.
They wrote: “Juan Soto was removed from tonight’s game with right calf tightness.”
During the first inning of Friday’s showdown, Mets superstar Juan Soto left the game with an injury.
Anthony DiComo of MLB.com wrote: “News: Juan Soto has exited tonight’s Mets game in the first inning. More to come.”

Soto is in the middle of his second season playing for the Mets.
He came into the night batting .333 with one home run, five RBI’s and three runs in the first seven games of the season.

Soto And The Mets
Soto is coming off an excellent first year with the franchise.
Despite the team missing the 2025 MLB playoffs, he batted .263 with 43 home runs, 105 RBI’s and 120 runs in 160 games.
In addition to the Mets, the 27-year-old has also spent time playing for the Washington Nationals, San Diego Padres and New York Yankees over nine MLB seasons.

Currently, the Mets are 3-4 in their first seven games of the 2026 season.
Following their series with the Giants, they will return home to host the Arizona Diamondbacks on April 7.
