He has been out since July 24 with an injury.
MLB.com wrote (on August 22): “Ran several wind sprints in the outfield on Aug. 14 but has not taken additional steps forward since that time. Has vowed to be back on the field before the season ends and should have more than enough time to do so.”
According to the site, Soto could still return in September.
Before getting hurt, the 2019 World Series Champion had been batting .283 with 83 hits, 21 home runs, 52 RBIs, 46 runs and seven stolen bases in 84 games.
