Luciano was once considered an elite prospect when he started out his career with the San Francisco Giants.

He has appeared in 41 MLB games, batting .217 with 25 hits, three RBI’s, 14 runs and one stolen base.

If the 24-year-old continues to play well in Triple-A, he could get another chance in the Majors with the Yankees.

Francys Romero of Beisbol FR wrote (on March 23): “Marco Luciano, who was claimed by three different teams during the offseason (Pirates, Orioles, and Yankees) and DFA three times, will begin the 2026 season in Somerset, the Yankees’ Double-A affiliate.”

The Yankees are currently the second-place team in the American League East with a 27-17 record in 44 games.
