McMahon has gotten off to a slow start to the season.
He is batting .077 with two RBI’s, two runs (and 13 strikeouts) in 11 games.
It’s worth noting that the 31-year-old is still owed a lot of money this season (and next).

McMahon is in the middle of his second season with New York.
He was traded (via the Colorado Rockies) in 2025.

McMahon’s MLB Career
McMahon was picked in the second round of the 2013 MLB Draft.
He spent the first eight and a half seasons of his career in Colorado (and made the 2024 All-Star Game).
In six out of his first nine seasons, McMahon hit 20+ home runs.
Based on the money he’s owed, the Yankees will be hoping for him to return to form at some point soon.

After Thursday’s game against the Athletics, the Yankees will travel to Tampa Bay for a series with the Rays (on Friday).
They are currently the first-place team in the American League East with an 8-3 record in 11 games.
