On Saturday, the Pittsburgh Pirates will continue their series with the Philadelphia Phillies at PNC Park.

They are coming off an 11-9 loss on Friday.

Pirates Send Former 1st-Round Pick To A’s

Ahead of Saturday’s game, the Pirates and Athletics made a trade.

@AthleticsPR wrote: “The Athletics have acquired minor league infielder Alika Williams from the Pittsburgh Pirates organization for minor league right-handed pitcher Kyle Robinson.  Williams was selected from Triple-A Las Vegas today and infielder Michael Stefanic was designated for assignment to clear space on the 26- and 40-man roster.”

Williams was picked in the first round of the 2020 MLB Draft.

He has spent part of two seasons in the MLB with the Pirates (2o23 and 2024).
