Before Sunday’s game, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that the Warriors will sign Omer Yurtseven.
He most recently played in the NBA during the 2023-24 season as a member of the Utah Jazz.
That year, Yurtseven had averages of 4.6 points and 4.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 53.8% from the field in 48 games (12 starts).
Charania wrote: “The Golden State Warriors are signing former Heat and Jazz center Omer Yurtseven to a 10-day contract, agents Keith Glass and Luke Glass tell ESPN. Yurtseven spent the season in the Euroleague before joining the G League last week, posting 36 points and 12 rebounds Friday night.”

Yurtseven’s NBA career
In addition to his stint with Utah, Yurtseven played the first two seasons of his NBA career with the Miami Heat.
During his rookie year, the 27-year-old had averages of 5.3 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 52.6% from the field in 56 games (12 starts).
ESPN’s Anthony Slater wrote: “Warriors add an extra center the night after Al Horford leaves with a calf issue. Steve Kerr called it a strain and indicated likelihood Horford misses time. Yurtseven has played 113 combined games in Miami and Utah.”
