The Indiana Pacers have been very careful with the rehab of Tyrese Haliburton. Haliburton tore his Achilles tendon in the first half of Game 7 of the NBA Finals.
Since that moment, Haliburton has been working extremely hard to get back on the court. Indiana immediately ruled him out for this season, not wanting to put any pressure on him to rush back.
That has allowed Haliburton to ease his way back from what is considered a catastrophic injury. Haliburton has been making steady progress over the course of the year. Now he is finally playing 5-on-5 for the first time since June.

Haliburton should be fully healthy to start next season. With him back in the lineup, the team believes they can make another run at the NBA Finals. The addition of Ivica Zubac should help them, as well.
Indiana is expected to be much better next year overall with the entire lineup healthy. Injuries have taken their toll this season, preventing them from having any shot of making the playoffs.
The Eastern Conference could be ready for major shakeups next season. The Cavaliers, Magic, and Knicks could all be in for major changes if the playoffs don’t go well.
That will leave the door open for Indiana to contend right away. Adding a top-four pick would help them cement their claim as a championship contender even faster.
Indiana is hoping Haliburton can return to an All-NBA form.
