Heading into Game 3, the Philadelphia 76ers learned that the New York Knicks have a day-to-day injury on their hands with OG Anunoby.
During the fourth quarter of the Sixers’ Game 2 loss on the road at Madison Square Garden, OG Anunoby seemed to be struggling with a lower-body injury. After the game, Knicks head coach Mike Brown acknowledged that the two-way standout was hobbled.
However, Brown did not have a detailed update on the star forward just yet.
On Thursday afternoon, Anunoby’s official diagnosis was revealed.

Just like Anunoby and the Knicks, the Sixers have questions on their side with Joel Embiid.
Heading into Game 2, Embiid was initially probable to play. The 76ers downgraded him to out due to hip and ankle issues. Before the game, 76ers head coach Nick Nurse considered Embiid to be day-to-day moving forward.
The star center’s status for Friday’s Game 3 is also up in the air.
The Sixers and the Knicks are slated for a 7 PM ET tip on May 8.
