First-year head coach Todd Monken and the Cleveland Browns made several roster transactions to cap off this past week at training camp. Most notably, the Browns added offensive line depth and versatility.
The Browns announced on their website Friday they signed tackle/guard Jack Conley and cornerback Jeadyn Lukus. To create space on the roster, Cleveland also waived wide receiver Jamari Thrash and linebacker Reid Carrico.
Finally, the Browns also placed guard Kendrick Green on injured reserve.
Both Conley and Lukus are rookies from Clemson. The pair have roughly three weeks to earn a spot in the Browns organization. NFL teams must have their rosters cut down to 53 players by 6 pm ET on August 30.

The NFL transaction wire confirmed the flurry of Browns moves from Friday.
Conley will come to Cleveland with 60 career games of experience at Boston College. He earned All-ACC honorable mention during his final college season during 2024.
Standing at 6-foot-7 and 333 pounds, Conley is an attractive prospect because of his big frame and mass.
Lukus played college football at Clemson from 2022-25. He registered 60 combined tackles, including 2.5 for loss, nine pass defenses and two interceptions over 43 games.
The cornerback signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent after the 2026 NFL Draft. He remained with the Titans until August 1.
To make space for Conley and Lukus, the Browns parted with two players at other position groups.
The Browns let go of Thrash with an injury designation. Cleveland drafted the wideout in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
As for Carrico, the Browns signed him as an undrafted free agent in the middle of May.
Browns Lose Lineman Kendrick Green to Injury

The Browns didn’t waive an offensive lineman Friday, but they lost Green to injury. Conley will provide the depth the team no longer has with Green unavailable.
Green was once a pretty highly regarded Pittsburgh Steelers draft selection. The Steelers picked the interior lineman at No. 87 overall during the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. But after two seasons, the Steelers traded Green at the conclusion of his third training camp.
Green also spent two seasons with the Texans. In 37 NFL games, he has made 19 starts.
To begin the 2025 campaign, he signed with the Buffalo Bills. Green, though, never played in a regular season game for Buffalo. In late December, the Browns claimed the lineman off the Bills practice squad.
Green dressed for one game for the Browns at the end of last season. He only played one snap, which came on special teams.
With the addition of Conley, the Browns still have 15 offensive lineman on their training camp roster despite the injury to Green. Cleveland has the most offensive line depth at tackle, where the team has Conley listed.
The Browns have eight tackles. They also possess three centers, three guards and one lineman listed as a center and guard on the roster.
