Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been sidelined with a season-ending injury, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, has been by his side, helping his recovery. Now, Brittany has her own, personal news to share, and this one is a stunner. The news comes on the same day as the NFL Honors event in San Francisco, as well.
Mahomes, of course, sustained in injury during the Kansas City Chiefs’ game on December 14 against the Los Angeles Chargers, and now, he’s in recovery mode with Brittany by his side. Mahomes sustained an ACL and LCL in his left knee, and he received surgery for it days later and started rehab. The good news is that Mahomes is expected to be available to play in the Kansas City Chiefs’ first game of the 2026-27 season.
On Thursday, February 5, Brittany took to social media to share a sun-drenched photo of her gracing the cover of the 2026 SI Swimsuit Digital Cover. Brittany has posed for the publication before, but this was an extra boost, to see her as the cover.
Brittany was photographed by Katherine Goguen in Fort Myers, Florida, for the February 2026 digital SI Swimsuit Issue cover, along with Christen Goff, who’s married to Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions, Haley Cavinder, Ronika Love, Claire Kittle and Normani.

In the publication’s official description of Brittany, they note that she’s “a personal trainer and fitness entrepreneur” who “played professional soccer in Iceland before retiring from her sport. In 2020, she became co-owner of the Kansas City Current, the NWSL team based in Kansas City.”
They add that since becoming the co-owner of the Current, Brittany “has been instrumental in fostering the team’s culture” and that in 2024, she helped bring the first soccer stadium in the world built specifically for a women’s professional sports team, CPKC Stadium, to fruition. She’s also, of course, a wife and mom of three.
For the shoot, all six of the magazine’s cover models went to South Seas, a 330-acre island resort located on the Gulf Coast on Captiva Island, Florida. They describe it as having “breathtaking views and exotic wildlife made for a truly unforgettable setting.” What an amazing way to work, right?
According to the outlet, Patrick was also on set, and he “donned custom garments in Kansas City Chiefs colors: red, gold and white.”

Following Patrick’s injury at the end of the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025-26 season, Brittany took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of Patrick walking across the field, with the lights dim, and the message, “My guy,” with a red heart. That post was her sharing Mahomes’ post on social media, which he shared with a collection of photos of him on the field, in action.
“Biggest comeback of all-time, book it,” one follower stated in response to the post. “God speed brother,” another said on the post. “I know you will come back stronger and better though the journey is challenging and frustrating. Will all be part of your incredible legacy.”
Now, Patrick continues to rehab and recover during the offseason, and Brittany is spending time posting for SI. They’re missing the NFL Honors on Thursday, February 5, but there’s always next year. As always, we send Patrick and Brittany our well-wishes during his recovery period.
