WATCH: Jamaal Charles Injured In 3rd Quarter vs. Bears

Kansas City Chiefs v Green Bay Packers

Fantasy alarms are going off.

One of the top picks in fantasy football, and one of the NFL’s best backs, Jamaal Charles is down.

The Chiefs RB went down against the Bears being examined by trainers. On the play he was injured Charles went for a straight rush up the middle, but his knee appeared to buckle as he cut. It was a non-contact injury.

It seems irrelevant now, but Charles was just getting into his groove today against the Bears. The Chiefs were leading the Bears 17-3 before the injury. They sunk after the injury, and ended up losing to Chicago, 18-17.

It’s a devastating blow for the Chiefs, who depend on Charles as a large part of their offense. It’s equally devastating for Charles, who has previously torn his ACL in his left knee. This injury is to his right knee.

Charcandrick West is filling in for Charles at the moment. West joined the Chiefs last season, as an undrafted free agent from Abilene Christian. Knile Davis is also available.
