College Football Bowl Projections 2016: Week 9 Predictions

Just when you thought you had things figured out, college football happened. Week 8 gave fans some excitement and shook up the postseason picture. Penn State pulled off the upset over No. 2 Ohio State while No. 11 Houston was upset by SMU. Things are starting to get interesting.

Heavy has projected all the college football bowl games. If the season were to end today, we like No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Michigan, No. 3 Washington and No. 4 Clemson to be the top four teams.

This would make one of the College Football Playoff semifinal matchups Alabama-Clemson. It would provide a rematch of what was an epic national championship game a season ago. Michigan and Washington would square off in the other semifinal in a matchup reminiscent of old Rose Bowl games.

As we learned yesterday, there is still plenty of football left to be played. Click here for a full breakdown of the conference bowl tie-ins.
