Freeland went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, an additional run scored and a walk in Monday's 8-3 win over Houston. Freeland took advantage of Houston's short porch in left field, swatting an opposite-field solo homer in the second inning. It marked his second long ball and second three-hit effort of the campaign. The 24-year-old has seen increased opportunities with Mookie Betts (oblique) and Tommy Edman (ankle) sidelined, producing at a .256/.316/.372 clip with two homers, four doubles, seven RBI and 10 runs across 29 appearances.

Alexander Freeland: Breaking News
Absent from Wednesday's lineup
Freeland is not in the Dodgers' starting lineup against the Giants on Wednesday, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports. Freeland will get a rest day after going 0-for-3 with a walk and three strikeouts in Tuesday's 3-1 loss to San Francisco. Miguel Rojas will start at second base Wednesday and bat ninth.
Perfect at plate Tuesday
Freeland went 3-for-3 with a double, an RBI single and two runs scored during the Dodgers' 4-1 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Freeland reached base safely in each of his three plate appearances Tuesday, driving in a run in the fifth inning while crossing home plate himself in the third and ninth. He has struggled at the plate early on in the season, but Freeland has just 38 big-league games under his belt since 2025 and continues to adjust to major-league pitching. He'll continue to serve in an everyday role at second base until Tommy Edman (ankle) returns from the 10-day injured list.
