Joe Stevenson vs. Takanori Gomi In The Works For UFC On Versus 2

A lightweight bout between UFC veteran Joe “Daddy” Stevenson and Japanese legend Takanori Gomi is in the works for August at UFC on Versus 2 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  According to sources close to the fight, the bout is only awaiting one signature on the agreement to make the fight official.

Stevenson, who has over 40 fights to his name despite being only 27 years of age, is coming off of a tough unanimous decision loss to George Sotiropoulos at UFC 110.  Gomi recently dropped his UFC debut  via rear naked choke to Kenny Florian at UFC Fight Night: Florian vs. Gomi.
