Demian Maia Meets Kendall Grove At TUF 12 Finale

A middleweight bout between contender Demian Maia and “Ultimate Fighter” winner Kendall Grove is in the works for “The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale” this December.

Kendall Grove announced the potential match up via his Twitter account this week.

Grove, who has struggled with consistency throughout his career in the UFC, managed to pick up a victory against Goran Reljic at UFC 116, winning via split-decision. The former top prospect of the UFC’s middleweight division has gone a disappointing 4-4 in his last eight contests inside the Octagon.

Meanwhile, Maia looks to continue his climb back to a title shot. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace dropped a unanimous decision to champion Anderson Silva at UFC 112, but rebounded recently at UFC 117 with a unanimous decision victory over Mario Miranda, pushing him a step closer to title contention once again.

The bout is set to serve as a main card contest at “The Ultimate Fighter 12 Finale” on December 4 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card will feature a the bout between the season’s finalist, as well as a rumored bout between Stephan Bonnar and Igor Pokrajic. No other bouts have been rumored for the card as of this point in time.
