Five Bouts Added To UFC 126 Card

Five bouts added to exciting Super Bowl weekend card

One of the most stacked lineups in recent UFC memory is nearly complete.

The UFC confirmed that UFC 126 will take place Fed. 5 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas. The card is headlined by a middleweight title fight between Brazilians Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort.

The promotion also confirmed a previous report by Heavy.com that a featherweight bout between Chad Mendes and new signee Michihiro Omigawa will take place on the card. The Mendes/Omigawa bout takes place on the preliminary card.

A bantamweight bout between Norifumi “Kid” Yamamoto and Demetrious Johnson will also take place on the preliminary card instead of the pay per view card as previously reported. A welterweight bout between Jake Ellenberger and Carlos Eduardo Rocha will move to the main card.

Also confirmed for the event: lightweights Gabe Reudiger and Paul Taylor square off on the preliminary card.
